Change for Change is incredibly excited to share that the amazing rock band, Marianas Trench, is on board supporting our cause!! Are you Marianas Trench's biggest fan? Would you like to win the ultimate Marianas prize package? How would you like to be a the ambassador for your school, work or community? Well here's what you need to do...
Marianas Trench is partnering with Change for Change, a fund-raiser that supports troubled youth. The goal is to see how much spare change can you raise in one month. Get your friends, classmates, family, co-workers and anyone else you know to gather up all those old dusty change jars they have lying around. It would be awesome to get one person or a group of people in every high school or college/university across Canada and the USA to participate and raise funds by getting everyone in their school to donate. Please get your school's administrators permission if you choose to post flyers throughout your schools for this great cause. The more people we can get involved the better. The goal is to collect as much spare change as possible! Whether you do it through your school, business, or by going through every couch cushion you know of... Change for Change WANTS IT ALL!!! Don't limit yourself, be creative!
The contest runs from now until March 1st and all funds go directly to Covenant House in Vancouver which is a non profit organization. Covenant House is an amazing organization that helps youth aged 16-24 who are fleeing from physical, sexual or emotional abuse at home. These kids often have no one to turn to and no where to go and usually end up on the street. Covenant House provides them with a safe place and a second chance and this is a great opportunity to stand up and make a difference in someone else's life. We are offering prizes to the top 3 people who raise the most money for the Charity. HERE ARE THE PRIZES!
Grand Prize: Six guest list spots with meet and greet to the next show when we are in or near your city for our new album, hand written lyrics of a Marianas Trench song of your choice, a signed copy of Masterpiece Theatre directors cut, a signed photo of the band and signed drum sticks.
Second Prize: A conference phone call from Josh Ramsay, hand written lyrics of a Marianas Trench song of your choice, a signed copy of Masterpiece Theatre directors cut, and a signed photo of the band.
Third Prize: Hand written lyrics of a Marianas Trench song of your choice, a signed copy of Masterpiece Theatre directors cut, and a signed photo of the band.
Everyone who enters the contest will have their name put into a hat and we will randomly pick one winner for participating. This person will win signed Drum Sticks, a signed copy of Masterpiece Theatre directors cut, and a signed photo of the band.
Ian is personally donating $1000.00 to the cause and anyone that beats Ian also gets a big fat kiss from him!
Once you have collected all the coin here is what you need to do...
Roll all your coins and take them to a bank of your choice to convert into a cheque or Money order made out to "COVENANT HOUSE" . IN THE MEMO BOX ON THE CHEQUE OR MONEY ORDER YOU MUST PUT "CHANGE FOR CHANGE MARIANAS TRENCH" SO THAT WE CAN IDENTIFY PEOPLE WHO ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST. They get many donations and they have to separate those who are participating in the contest. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME, FULL MAILING ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, AND EMAIL ADDRESS ON A SEPARATE PIECE OF PAPER SO THAT WE CAN CONTACT YOU IF YOU ARE A WINNER! Covenant House is a recognized charity. All donations will receive a tax receipt. All cheques and Money Orders must be mailed (or preferably couriered) to:

The money can also be converted using a credit card and sent in on line. You can also use this method if you simply want to make a donation which also counts for the contest!
